The 10 “Empties” I Adore and Will Always Repurchase

Welcome back y’all! So you’re probably wondering what the heck empties are, right? Empties is a term to describe makeup products that you’ve used until they were completely empty and have since repurchased. I don’t wear full face makeup everyday, but there are plenty of makeup products I have bought over and over again that I can’t wait to share with you all.

Welcome back! We are approaching an all new year, ripe with possibilities. Out with the old and in with the new, so to speak. People will be taking the opportunity to rid themselves of old habits, old friends, old relationships–you get the picture. But what about clothes?

Let’s face it, there’s bound to be things in your closet that you no longer like or no longer fit you. The end of the year is the perfect time to get rid of clothes in order to make room for those 2018 fashions.

Greetings, loved ones: let’s take a journey

It’s lit.

Well, I finally did it. After many teasing posts and IG stories, I have decided to go out on a limb and start my own blog!

Welcome to A Black Girl Blogging, a lifestyle blog by yours truly, dedicated to all things fashion, hair, beauty and more, from a black girl perspective.

What’s the deal?

So often I’ve seen plenty of blogs and websites centered around a white girl’s lifestyle, but very few centered around a black one. This blog was created with black girls in mind.

4 Apps That are Essential for This Black Girl Blogger

Hello everyone! On my iPhone 7 (hopefully soon to be iPhone 8 Plus or iPhone X), I have a lot of apps. One hundred seven to be exact. I don’t use all of them everyday, but there are some that I swear by and use multiple times a day.

All four of these apps have one thing in common–this black girl wouldn’t be caught dead without them!

My First Shopping Haul

Welcome back! So, if you’ve ever taken a look at some of my outfits on my Instagram or the what I posted for my very first blog post, you’ll know that I’m no stranger to fashion. I love bright and bold prints, but also muted and neutral colors. If I had to describe my fashion style, I’d definitely call it trendy vintage. These two words fit the pieces I picked up during my latest shopping trip to a T!

The 5 Brown Girl Friendly Lipsticks You Need This Winter

Welcome back, y’all! As fall winds down and the official start of winter is fast approaching, you might be wondering what kind of lip colors and lipsticks you should pair with your chunky scarves, fur vests and that glowing melanin.

Three words: dark, dark, dark!

As I mentioned in my very first post, I am a sucker for beautiful dark lipsticks. Matte, suede, gloss, you name it! Today’s post will be all about my favorite dark lip shades that I think would be perfect for winter, complete with swatches.

For shade reference, I am a 130 Cocoa in Maybelline’s Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation, 450 Mocha in Revlon’s ColorStay Makeup For Combination/Oily Skin and NW50 in MAC’s Studio Fix Fluid, according to Findation, a website dedicated to finding out your perfect foundation shade using makeup shades you’ve already worn before.
